Emotions of Taste
AUTHENTIC FLAVOURS THAT CELEBRATE OUR TERRITORY
In the setting of La Monastica, culinary pleasures find their perfect backdrop: an invitation to savour each mouthful with the same spiritual attention as the nuns who once lived in this Monastery. An incentive to take one’s time to enjoy each dish and not give in to the temptation to rush. The architectural and decorative elements, originally designed to inspire reverence, today infuse the environments with an elegant and welcoming atmosphere that invites calm and the pleasure of conversation. The menu varies according to the seasons, following nature’s rhythm, and showcases authentic flavours. Each dish is a perfect balance of flavours and textures and celebrates, in a modern and original way, the richness of the territory.

From the garden to the kitchen
Respecting nature, its seasons, and the perfect ripeness of its fruits is not only a way to preserve the environment but also a way to fully enjoy its flavours, fragrances and aromas. It is an art that the nuns mastered and which, today, is kept alive in the kitchen of our Devoti Restaurant. In fact, a few hundred metres from our Resort you can find La Monastica Agricola, our garden along the banks of the Cessana stream, where we grow the aromatic herbs, vegetables, and fruit varieties used in our kitchen. Everything here is as natural as possible: no chemical treatments of any kind are used and we rely on nature to preserve the plants. We are helped by the "friendly" garden insects and some specific plants (marigold, tagetes, nasturtium, basil, mint...) which, besides enriching the garden itself, protect it from various parasites. All plants are chosen and planted according to the local biodiversity, studying the composition, density, and structure of the soil itself, as well as evaluating sun exposure to favour optimal growth and ripening.
